Trust everyone is following Hayden Paddon' debut in the i20 Hyundai WRC in Italy at the Rally of Sardegna, the first Kiwi to gain a full time works drive in a WRC car.

Le Mans, Brendan Hartely just had a little excursion down the escape road following a big brake lock up and lost 2 minuets before handing over to Mark Webber. Car #20 are still in 4th and first Porsche on the road, fortunately 2 minutes at the Le Mans 24 hours is usually not here or there, so fingers crossed for the antipodean pair.

Nail biting stuff, Porsche #20 still in the lead by 50 seconds but #2 Audi lapping much quicker. Hartely due in car next pit stop, fuel and tyres, so will be a longer stop, but he should have the honour of bringing it home, hopefully to a podium finish. |

What a bummer for all concerned. Still Audi were not without its problems, unfortunately Car 20's were terminal. Brendan at least showed he was consistently quicker the Webber which has got to earn him some brownie points along the way. So well done the Kiwi Kid. |

I agree Mark.
Great effort by Brendon and the entire Porsche team on return! Im astounded by the lack of interest in this on here! Maybe its too positive for people to find something to comment on? |

A caller to the UK's BBC Radio 2 moaned that the BBC hadn't covered Le Mans at all. There was a time when the BBC gave out hourly reports from Le Mans. The excuse given by the programme presenter? The Soccer World Cup...
If you wanted Le Mans news, whether Kiwi or not, there was another thread that was very active and I presume that would be where followers were posting, not on here. |

Mitch's Russian Time team screwed up both the strategy and the pit stop once again so he dumped at least 2 places, to finish 7th and move to 8th in the Championship. The 2nd race tonight see the top 8 reversed which means Mitch gets to start on the front row, fingers crossed for another of his now customary blinding starts and hopefully he can hold on for his first win. If you live in NZ its all on Sky this evening! |
