In other news... Let's have your picks, peeps. Remember, no ballast at spa. So who's your GT1 and GT2 winners? I'm saying Vitaphone 1, and either AF Corse. |

Ill take That bet?
33 Jet Alliance overall. 61 Prospeed for GT2. No one finishing the 'Kings Cup' relay, again... Although "MIGHTY MIKE HEZEMANS!!!" is on his 'home' track again? |

I would like to see a Corvette win, but being honest I would have to say either Vitaphone #1 or Jet Alliance #33 with Phoenix #5 either second or third. Should be a great race.

Why not ?
I honestly thought Corvette would have won Le mans this year ..... was I proven wrong or what !!! RaceAlliance stand a great chance of winning Spa this year , imo . As do Porsche of course ..... |

Jetalliance should be one of the contenders, they got most victory's so far so it would be dumb too not take them as a contender.
Only thing I don't understand is why they won't use the #36 car, that car got much lesser ballast than the #33 (or doesn't ballast count in the 24?). Sad Aston has their hope only on 1 car to put their hope on. Can't count Gigawave too 1 of the contenders TBH. |

for the JetAlliance, strange to choose a 1 car effort ! if you want to win Spa and the teams championship you have to go with 2 cars !

Jet Alliance had a bad rub of luck last year.
You really cannot base anything on the scrapyard inside of La Source, seeing as a lot of that had been on Pirellis... Which never seemed to work on a DBR9. I'll stick with Jet Alliance, after all, Prodrive will want to add the Spa crown to the Le Mans title... |

Honestly Fish, I think its down to Corvette and Maserati. They always sneak up the leaderboard in the end which we saw last year. If aston lasts (it has a good chance) then it will be there too. 2007 it was the vettes and maseratis only contending for the lead due to their great reliability.
Since Luc Alphand will not be there, strong chances are that Pratt & Miller will be sending over more people to help with their second in line private team behind Luc: Phoenix....and then SRT. After all i'm sure they are just as hungry for a 24 Hour win for Corvette. Plus the addition of a quick 8th driver would see them in my book as the strongest contenders....we will see. Should be great fun regardless. |

Both BMS Astons, and the Jet Alliance one, were piled up with various bits missing by Sunday morning last year...
The BMS cars ran Pirelli. |

Yeah the Corvette teams will definatly profit from the help of P&M. But still I don't think Prodrive would let their privat teams alone. Jet Alliance looks like a 2006 Aston in updates (in looks, dunno how it is in technology), hope they can get some support of Prodrive. Would be cool if they won 3 24 hour races in 1 year.
They have always supported at least 1 team since 2006 in the 24 so hope we can see that back. |

so for Spa we will have GM Pratt&Miller staff with Phoenix Carsport, AMR Prodrive with JetAlliance, a revenge after the huge Le Mans battle !

obviously the race can be won by a one car team. i think the point he was making is that you have a much better chance if you have two cars running. also that it looks like you will need two cars in the race this year to have a shot at the team title at the end of the year. say the JA breaks and both the maseratis and phoenix corvette finish 1-4. as far as the championship JA could pretty much be done. double points make this race even more exciting.
