Lotterer hasn't been as comfortable on these tyres as he was on the first set. That, plus traffic would be enough to explain the gap.

Wet races at Fuji and here in Shanghai play well into the 7 Audis hands in terms of having fewer engines than everyone else.

I would be curious to see what the Audis could do in this heavier rain (they were very good in Fuji at the beginning), but there are so many yellows/FCYs that it's impossible to know...

We have a race on! 3 hours 40 min to go, anything can happen. I still think it'll be a clear Porsche victory at the end, but I'm just a pessimistic Audi fan

Porsche super impressive on the 2 stint old wets. And now on the slickamediate they are destroying the Audis. Buemi also very impressive.

Everything Audi do is useless. Porsche are always a step ahead them. And they will need to do one more pit stop.

We always knew the 919 was going to race away on the slicktermediate, but those stints on old wets go to show how much work has been done from the season openers to be more gentle on the tyres.

Edit - And just as I say that Dumas bins it and Fassler gets past him as he recovers.
