historic support race for Le Mans

what was the criteria for that race? I watched it on tv and saw it had austin healeys (with the most gopping roll bars) at one end of the spectrum to well known replicas at the other!

its just a guess . . .but was it wallet measurement ?

last year they had everything from a TVR Grantura to GT40's, I think the general gist is cars that competed at LeMans and with in certain dates, which varies depending on the weather, I guess this year was all pre 1960 ?

It was pre 1955 this year, last year was Group C and the year before that was late 50's up to early 70's so DBR1's up to 917's great.

very stupid of me it was in the 55 Le Mans that Hawthorn and a Healey had the incident that resulted in the Mercedes accident
I think the straight line speed differential is not so bad its in the corners where it gets scary as cornering speeds are dramatically different

No time to get into his slipsteam then, Jason!!!!!

Seriously though, what does it feel like to have some one pass you at that speed when you are already going pretty quick? Does it blow you off course by much, and how stable is the Birdcage in those circumstances?

(Simon, sorry if this is slightly off topic, but couldn't miss this opportunity to ask these questions)

Doh just woke up .

Did he blow me off course (bit personal that)

No the tracks wide enough didn't notice any "dirty air trouble"

The Car feels light over the crests otherwise firmly bolted to the track.
