Chimay?

What's it like, where is it, how easy is it to get to from the UK, is it where the trappist beer comes from?

it is where the beer comes from and I am sad I cant make it but it clashes with a BRDC round. Its a great weekend for spectator and racer alike and would fully urge you to go. I did it a couple of years ago and one of the highlights was the gendarme waving me on to track when it had reopened back to being a public road - I then did a cpl of extra laps to try and learn it and he waved at me each time I went passed him - they really have got the spirit right! This year I think Julius has an extra race for pre war race cars

Chimay's orginal circuit was used for International Events and was particularly popular with the F3 lads in the 1960's and 70's. Great little circuit. Quite right about the beer as well, the poison is called 'Chimay.' It's rocket fuel!

Any modern racing on it? Or is it possible to run a pseudo-classic (Caterham Seven Classic) in races there? (I think I've unsuccessfully tried this argument before...)

I've been invited to run my Austro there - but I'm at the Manx International rally - maybe I'll do a european season next year and only do a couple of races in england
