ceramic-tastic

teflon coated pistons with ceramicoat on top, Titanium H section rods, NJ crank obviously, knife edged, cross drilled, and 5 bearing no doubt

I like a bit of nicasil on the bores as well

So it would that Spa IS the all-time favorite,but is it the best?.Personally I feel it would be if the Paddocks were planned better,the organization side is improving,so for me [Cirquit wise ]I,d say yes.{when did you find out about my current engine Zef}

That Laguna is not real racing might be a handicap for some, but at least it is not such an ego-boosting event like the Revival meeting.
That's a good point. I've heard very good things about the Redman event, and I did enjoy the Monterey event a lot when I went (although that was the year the Jaguar XJ220 was launched so no only was I 12 years old, it was a good few Christmases ago!)

LYNX should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I have enjoyed the Jim Clark Revival meeting at Hockenheim in April - knowledgeable spectators, well organised and a super environment. Chimay was great fun in 2002 but since then single seaters have not been allowed to race. The Oldtimers at Nurburgring is also a must-do on our calender. Spa is OK but we have not attended for a couple of years due to worries about the standard of marshalling.

The Philip Island Classic would have to be on the short list. Fantastic circuit (for spectators as well as drivers), huge entry, well organised, etc. Has anyone (outside of Australia) been to it?

I don't think anyone would be disappointed with the other major historic meetings in Victoria either - the Winton meeting run at the end of each May by the Austin 7 club will be in its 32nd year next year and is always a fantastic relaxed & friendly event and quite a challenging little circuit which would also have to be one of the most spectator-friendly around - you can see virtually the entire circuit from any point around it.

The Sandown event in November each year has always put on an interesting meeting (a couple in recent years have featured fields of F5000 cars) and the location in the middle of the suburbs of Melbourne is so convenient.

I've only been to one historic meeting interstate, the easter event at Malalla 5yr ago, which was quite enjoyable too.

Early days yet, but there is a "triple banger" weekend in the planning. Masters Festival at Brands, cars loaded into arranged transporters and delivered to Moscow for the next weekend supporting Russian Touring Car Championship, then back into the transporters and delivered to Anderstorp for the weekend after. Again, this is all in early stages of planning but looks like a fantastic three weekends if it comes off!

Anyone would think that Russia is unsafe for valuable car transport.For a country that,s ruled by thier own Maffia,I,d have thought it a better place.
