Lustig, not so keen on that one either.
Duff, nice, FW's edit nicer though. But the pitlane needs to be on a _long_ straight. |

Ok, I am going to start a brand new design from scratch and try and incorporate all of your opinions.

Hey. Haven't been on here in ages. I posted a track a while back but haven't been free enough to do any more. Even though the time may have passed, I wanted to add my own slant to the Autodromo Michele Alboreto, of Pirenzo's. I'm very impressed with the final design but couldn't resist making some adjustments, stemming from Chaynes' own adjustments. I'm not knocking the track though Pirenzo - I think it rocks.

Woops. Forgot how to attach there. The golden/yellow is my version, over the top of Chaynes' blue.

Ok, I think it's time for a challenge.
In the late 1920's the East Texas Horse Farm relocated to this site and established a successful stable and horse track. This only lasted 10 years, as the farm shut down due to bankruptcy. In 1945 a man named Harold Farino, a noted motor racing enthusiast, bought the site to turn into a test track. He paved the oval and built a road course using the roads from the old horse farm, and eventually built a small pit lane down the backstretch of the oval. Unfortunately, this also came to an early end, this time because of Farino's death in 1957. After his death, the site because unused. The forest in the south-west that bordered the oval grew larger, eventually taking over nearly half of the oval. The road circuit built by Farino also deteriorated, with all of it except one piece on the other end of the property becoming overgrown with grass and weeds. The same fate also met the oval, as two small areas of the oval became overgrown. It is now 2004. You have been hired to design a world-class circuit on this site. The local government has promised you however much money you need to design and build this track, under these conditions: 1) You cannot disturb the stables (orangeish-pink) or horse field (brown). 2) You must rebuild the oval and upgrade the pit lane and paddock, felling trees as necessary, but not too many of them as an environmental group is nearby and wouldn't like you chopping down a forest. 3) You must also build a road course, which has to use the road in the north of the property and part of the oval, as well as add fencing and gravel/tarmac. 4) You cannot cross the stream (blue) at any other place other than the two bridges built already. 5) Finally, you cannot cross the double-yellow line, as that is the boundary of the property you bought. The right side of it belongs to a neighboring farmer. Last edited by Flaming_Wuzzle; 14 Mar 2004 at 19:34. |
