I've just checked the rules of the Team of the Grand Prix and you can, if you want to, use that as a reason if you want to.

Mercedes. Made the right strategy call - and made up for their mistakes at the start. They still seem to have the raw pace - but only in clear air - get stuck behind another car, and it is a hell of a lot more difficult for them to overtake.

Special mention to Haas as well. Impressive debut from a new team.

The problem with Red Bull is that they are always out nightclubbing and associating with rappers and stuff. They will amount to nothing with an attitude like that. I suspect that because of this lack of concentration they will probably end up with negative points this season, if indeed they ever manage to start a race with two cars. Asd for the drivers, well, clearly one spends much too much time at the dentist having his teeth polished to ever really make an impact, and the other one cannot spell Daniel correctly.

It's not like the olden days when drivers were drivers, and teams had to get up four hours before they went to bed just to pump up the tyres.

Of note was that the F1 race got at least two mentions in last night's live coverage of the NASCAR Auto Club 400. Not joking mentions, either. That's an impact I wasn't expecting!

Well, Haas does have a little influence with the NASCAR folk, being a team owner and all.
