I dont remember it from Mallory but I do remember the rather spectacular cork screw roll it performed OVER the top of Terry Crokers Anglia at the old Russell at Snet. I spoke to Geoff afterwards,he just complained of a very slight headache!

Are you sure the photo is 1970? The car is fitted with 450/900x10 CR81s which did not appear on sale till Oct 70. Now I am sure GW did some of the testing for Dunlop, but the photo looks mid summer and I am sure testing started later than that. By mid 1972 it would have been slicks, so 1971?

Raced against it many times in late 60s, early 70s but I can't remember if it was the ex-Harry Ratcliffe or Jeff Goodliff car.

Hi Angus I used to go arround the circuits with Gerry Taylor in the late 1960s early 1970s as Gerrys "mehanics helper " with supervision of Dave Neale Gerrys main mechanic. and took photos of various racing cars being only 17 years old I did not always get the infomation acurate my apologes. But there were great times .

Hello Paul, that's the problem of feeble old braincells. Getting the year that close from memory is not bad. Only went to Mallory once and that was the very end on the year and yes Mr Woods was there and yes he won 1300 saloon race.

This is the Harry Ratcliffe's Vita 1293cc Cooper S that he raced at Castle Combe in August 1965.
