Emfa should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Is that idea still alive?

TRAC is on track !!!

It is scheduled to go in 2003, I'll watch it,
I think it could be some good racing.

I read a thing about them in a magazine this week. Question is, do we need another race series?

I enjoy ASA & ARCA and of course the Truck Series and Busch Series.
TRAC will add some diversion, I think it will be good, if not, I won't watch it again, LOL.

Well, it could be interesting. Spec stock cars with sealed motors. The teams concept is a bit different - might add a different dimension to the racing landscape. I guess we'll have to wait and see...

The TRAC concept would work better in an established series...I don't wanna see another series sucking up sponsor dollars...
Wouldn't it be better to treansfer this to Trucks?

Take this idea and bury it wherever they put Jimmy Hoffa. Like we need _another_ gimmicky minor-league stock car series?

Two words: Goody's Dash.

i don't see why they keep updating all the chassis and every thing- we have how many busch and arca teams and they run modified or ex-winston cup cars, Goody's Dash ugh, I like the idea but it is not the time for it anymore, and with countless rgional series really, TRAC will likely be filled with pay drivers or Hacks or me, lol

TRAC is officially dead, from Traczone.com

Team Sports Entertainment, Inc.

(August 26, 2003 - CHARLOTTE, NC) Team Sports Entertainment, Inc. (NASDAQ: TSPT.OB) announced today, effective immediately, it has discontinued its efforts to develop, own, operate and sanction an automotive racing league. As previously discussed, the Company’s business plan provided that its ability to continue to pursue the creation of a racing league and begin racing in May 2004 would depend upon its successfully selling operating rights for six teams and sufficient league sponsorship packages by September 30, 2003. Following extensive and ongoing discussions between management and the Company’s various consultants, the Company’s Board of Directors has concluded that such sales are not possible within the necessary time period.

The Company has significantly reduced operating overhead by reducing the number of employees to two and eliminating all expenses unrelated to minimal administrative operations. Management believes that the Company currently has sufficient cash to pay all amounts owed to trade creditors and continue minimal operations for approximately four to six weeks.

Management intends, in the near future, to invite the Company’s principle creditors, the holders of the Company’s Senior Secured Convertible Promissory Notes, to discuss whether agreement can be reached to modify the payment and other terms of the Notes in a manner that will allow the Company to avoid bankruptcy. Management believes that the Company will be unable to make certain payments due under the Notes on August 31, 2003. There can be no assurances regarding whether such discussions will occur or their outcome.

Based on these discussions and other such analysis that it deems appropriate, the Board of Directors will determine the next steps to be taken by the Company. These steps may include developing a new business, identifying any available combination opportunities, bankruptcy or dissolution

yup- i am glad to hear it because of that, another oval series? come on now. the idea of teams could have been put to use in another struggling series or a good established one to help traain drivers, as in Craftsman trucks, and even grand-am could investigate this to increase DP fields-they are growing steadily though

I thought the idea had some merit when I first heard about it at least a year ago...maybe more. THe thing I didn't like about it was the 4-6 car team concept. This sounded like a high speed roller derby, with team cars sacrificing themselves taken out other cars so another car could get the win. Sounds dangerous. What I did like was from what I saw the cars were not clones, a corvette looked like a vette, and a viper well you get the idea. If I watch any racing with fenders I want to be able to tell what it is at first glance not by looking at the front grill or headlight stickers.

TRAC's been dead for a while. They couldn't find the backing they needed by the set deadline. The series was dissolved after this happened. Don't count on the series ever returning in the future.

TRAC is back in the news this morning. A few of the shareholders are filling a lawsuit. You can see the article at the link.
