Looks like Kyvet had a major brake failure. Amazing job keeping it under control.

I don't see his moves as moves to defend at all. To me those pulls to the inside are not defensive to people who have DRS and much more speed. He is giving way to them but lets them have the racing line. He is not being defensive.
With Bottas he had no where else to go unless he pulled off the track himself and Bottas had not completed the pass to a place of being completely ahead of Magnussen because of the car in front of Bottas.

The penalty is completely unwarranted.

Congrats to Lewis on a well deserved win. Great to see Massa get on the podium. Not a lot being said between Lewis and Nico.

That penalty was a total and utter farce. Good race, Kvyat has some almighty car control...

Crowd booing Nico. As if he cares...

Very good win for Lewis. Keeps it interesting.

I enjoyed that! A lot of good driving. Highlight for me was the fight between Perez and Button. Perez was smart and creative, thinking outside of the 'lets jink to the inside before T1'-box, and very fair giving Button just enough room to keep it on the track.

The stewards decisions are idiotic. Plain stupid! If this is F1 its an absolute joke. A complete nonsense. The stewards should be retired.
If Magnussen has a penalty so should have Button for what he did to Perez. Same thing

Some dumb nanny-state penalties being applied did somewhat mar this race. Williams drivers drove well though. Hambo successfully re-attached his head to his shoulders. DR outdrove SB. Feisty performance from Magnussen. Liked the ding-dong battle between Button and Perez. So plenty of good stuff as well.

This didn't even cross my mind until Eddie Jordan's rather bizarre question... and Toto Wolff's odd reaction to it. Up until then, I had assumed it was a minor driver error. However, it seems social media is boiling over with it. Just don't know what to think now... the off track soap opera seems to be subsuming this championship.

What happened today was very strange to say the least. Rosberg making the same mistake not once, but twice. What`s more, Rosberg seemed rather placid about it all on the team radio and during the podium interviews. Certainly wasn`t the titanic tussle we had been hoping for....

It could simply be some sort of relief that Rosberg's error prevented the two potentially coming together near the race end, because Hamilton was definitely going to catch Rosberg and would then certainly try to pass at some stage.

Could it be a bit of temper on the part of Rosberg against the team? Melodramatically throwing himself out of the way once Hamilton catching him was clearly inevitable. Presumably not - but I just thought I'd throw that out there.

As far as Rosberg's off is concerned, once is happenstance, twice is coincidence. Was good to see team Willy, doing the business. Poor Ferrari, if you're going to have your first Alonso car failure for eons might as well becatbthe most important race of the year.

Iplayer cut off at lap 29 so I missed the Button Perez battle. However both Macaroons were fiesty for a change. What I saw was pretty good. But those cars are still rubbish.

Sarcastic about? Button being penalised? Not sarcastic, no.
But cynical about the standard of stewarding? Yes
Should Button have been penalised? No.
It would be ridiculous, but no more so than penalising Magnussen over the Bottas incident.

So if they were being consistent than Button should have been penalised and Negrao should be penalised over the contact with Mitch Evans in GP2 (but wasn't). If they were racing incidents (which I am happy with) then so was Magnussen-Bottas.

But they weren't being consistent and that is why its a poor decision. They are not being consistent in their application of rules of engagement or the penalties imposed.
