Tim Hull should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Midland Hill Climb Marshals Championship

A big thank you to Jim for organising this superb event. A lovely meal followed by awards presentation. Well done to Kelvin and Vicki on their awards.

An excellent afternoon, and gratefully received by the marshals. The generosity of everyone involved is much appreciated. A good dinner with wine, cups and awards for those that have given most time, the company of the drivers who were there (and signed pictures from Scott who couldn't). A Midland Hillclimb 'bum bag' and for a dozen of us fortunate enough to come out in the draw, a trip to the Chevron factory in January. There are many reasons I enjoy marshalling the speed scene, and the appreciation of the organisers and competitors in organising this event is one. Thank you all.

That'll be Calvin then!

Another excellent do - the best yet I think, and I echo the thanks to Jim & Pam Gazey for running the championship. Awards were presented by Alan Dean-Lewis of the MSA, & someone told us he'd flown back from Monaco specifically to show his appreciation of marshals. A good gesture.

I was also so pleased that, by the vote of the marshals themselves, the 'Marshals' Choice' trophy went to Margaret Mather, and was collected by Pat.

Thank you Tim, a huge surprise for both myself and Phil but gratefully recieved. Congratulations to Jim for a fantastic event. It is great to know that we are appreciated not only by the clubs but also by the drivers. Thank you.

Seconded Roger

What a good do. Didnt think I'd done enought to get an award, but did and also one of the "lucky 12" who are going to Chevron.

Thanks Jim & Pam.

Folowing on from this, a group of marshals had an excellent day out yesterday on a tour of the Chevron Racing Cars factory. A fascinating tour with lots of stunning cars for us to drool over, and an informative commentary by Helen Bashford-Malkie of Chevron, followed by a good lunch.

The whole event was very much enjoyed by all of those present, and I'd like to say thank you to Keith Harris for organising the trip and to Helen for opening up her factory for us to wander about freely.
