DJR Milestone

Nice achievement for Dick and his team , clocking up 500 rounds at Adelaide.

She has been one hell of a ride over the years Dick!

Rocks, trees, Falcons, Sierras, Mustangs, not to mention the laconic one liners from Dick.

Don't forget the Westpoint, First Rock home loans mess and the Jim Beam & Schwerkolt mess!

Supposedly the Jim Beam sponsorshsip was under market value (agreed by Mr. Schwerkolt, in addition to inflated salaries for Mr. Courtney and Mr. Burgess?) but then Jim Beam was still a team sponsor for 2 seasons post-Schwerkolt, so go figure!

I wonder why DJR running the Paul Morris Motorsport & Fiore Motorsport entries as a 4-car team in 2012 was so short-lived.

Also: why did Paul "The Rat" Radisich depart DJR after 2002? It seems neither did any better separately in the short-term, than their great efforts together.

Jim Beam thought they were being clever getting a cheap deal.....plus the Team massively overspent in 2010 and spent 2011/2 just staying afloat and surviving whilst also making sure everyone got paid. Maybe one day the real truth can be written.....

Paul had only gone to DJR on a one year deal when the Peugeot deal in BTTC went belly up. He had planned to go to SBR but got talked into staying with DJR. He said in hindsight he should have stuck to his guns and gone to SBR but.....

Paul himself explains it pretty much here: https://www.supercars.com/news/satur...-paul-radisich
