macsport should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
British F3 Finale at Donington

Just a reminder that this weekend sees the showdown for the 2008 British F3 International Series between Oliver Turvey and Jaime Alguesuari, with Brendon Hartley waiting in the wings if the other two make a big mistake. Sergio Perez also has a mathematical chance but scoring nil points in Romania really scuppered his championship.

So who is your money on this Sunday?

Preview with entry list and timetable here

Jeff

If it rains... and its likely to, my money would be on Nick Tandy his testing pace was rather fast!!!!

There a couple of practice sessions on Thursday, if anyone's interested. 11.00 to 11.45 and 14.25 to 15.10.

If you follow this link, then click on Donington Park (bottom left), there should be a Live Timing button by then, although it's not there yet, so click on that and it should all work!

I'd put my money on Turvey for the Title I think.

Either way, I'll find out live - I'll be there! (bit of a hike, but we fancied seeing an F3 meet again, haven't been to one in years!)

I'm right in saying there isn't any running on Friday, right?

No, testing is today (Thursday) due to local restrictions.

Should be a good weekend, just hope the weather is kind.

I see Dean Smith is racing for Fortec, will be interesting to see how he goes. I assume he'll be top 10-ish.

He was flying back from Shanghai, where had been GP2 testing. Racing there next weekend, I believe. Currently 7th in qualifying for race 1 tomorrow, sorry, make that 8th...

Unfortunately Tandy now starts 13th for race 1 after all the penalties. Alguersuari is suddenly handed a golden opportunity to capitalise now!

Jaime Alguersuari wins race 1 plus fastest lap, Hartley 2nd and Turvey 3rd.

By my reckoning that means Turvey heads into the final race with 234 points, and Alguersuari on 231...Hartley out of it.

Alguersuari has impressed me this year - nice consistent performances even if he hasn't has the ultimate pace of someone like Hartley. I do feel sorry for Turvey though - he's come on strong as the season progressed and looks to be a very capable driver.

What is Dean Smiths history? - impressive pace this weekend for a rookie!
