According to the invaluable list in Tecno La Storia 532 was a 1970 F3 car but with no history provided. What history, if any, did it come with?

driftwood has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
As Paul Danials used to say "you will like it but not a lot!"

All i have is the car was owned by my now departed old chum Mr Roger Hurst who ran a german guy in the car long time ago who then bought the car and kept it for many years until early 2001 when it came back to Roger
I will look in the folder for more info tomorrow

Welcome Monsieur Marquet.

Can you be a bit more specific about the history of your car with the list of previous owners.

It was an F2 recreation, last seen at URS with wrongly stamped chassis number, FT200 and BDA

I saw this car at Mr Jaladons in 2003. It had no number on it then and was basically a chassis and front suspension. He couldnt offer any history. He also had the ex Dalbo Pygmee MDB16 FVA.

I do believe it was the very same car as described above.
Certainly an original Tecno chassis that has been stored for many years in a cellar with no known history or identity but definitely not an F2. It had been modified over the years especially near the dashboard.

Hello Fred

Could you tell us more about T00306. I have extensive French hillclimb records and would love to know which one was T00306. Yves Martin's? Hervé Bayard's? Daniel Rouveyran's? Jean-Louis Staïano's?

F2

Hello,
About #806:
-sure wasn't fired in 1971: was still there in 1974 to race with Alceste Bodini in F3 form (twin-cam): mine has still the modifications for that.
-Giuseppe Bianchini, who kows all problems with Bodini's family, never said such a thing.

About marquet's car: could be the ex-"ernest gache" car also ? (he bought it from "rega" himself, he said to me).

Best.

1968 F2

Having just read a detailed account of the 1968 Argentinian Temporada series by ARM who flew out to cover the series (in MN, especially 12-12-68 in which all 21 cars are identified) with 9 Tecnos involved, it seems that some sort of list ought to be made. Presumably the book on Tecnos has this information, but there is no proper listing in this thread.

Here are the 9 cars that are listed (with my suggestions in italics):-
Tecno Racing Team - Clay Regazzoni TOO 284
Tecno Racing Team - Jo Siffert TOO 306 – brand new chassis
Tecno Racing Team - Carlo Facetti TOO 270 – probably new at Hockenheim
Andrea Vianini TOO 304 – brand new chassis
Ron Harris - Pedro Rodriguez TOO 296 – new at Albi
Ron Harris - Carlos Reutemann and Oscar-Mauricio Franco TOO 288 – probably new at Crystal Palace
Ron Harris - Carlos Marincovich TOO 290 - probably new at Crystal Palace
Silvio Moser (Charles Vogele Racing Team) TOO 286 – probably new at Zolder
Jonathan Williams (Automobili De Tomaso) TOO 298 – new chassis with De Tomaso modifications to suspension and choice of standard or special nose.

In addition MN’s review of the 1968 F2 season (23-1-69) listed the chassis numbers of team cars – the additional Tecno was TOO 268 for Tecno RT (Clay Regazzoni?) - probably new at Barcelona

Obviously there were various drivers in the European season, particularly in the Ron Harris cars.

PS Is it TOO or T00?

Thanks for that summary. I'd seen the review from 23.1.69 but not the December 68 list. It's T00 I think...

Excuse me,for my long silence.....Yes,Ihave Buying this car in 1987 to Mr RABANEL located in Toulon (France)for race in hillclimb...the history of this car???.. after siffert use in temporada, sold to Shell for Cevert use,In the end of 69 season, sold to hervé BAYARD....and after other driver(I loose the name..),when I buy this car,it was fited with RenaulT Gordini engine, and need a total rebuild, the history of this car is totaly clean....when I buy this car, nobody was interested buy this(I have change to a small road car)....I'm sure to the chassis number,it's not me who have discover the chassis number(I dont know at this period where is located..) it's my friend Bernard BIRBES,who say me,where is located....I was sure in the 90's the chassis number to Bernard BIRBES is not affected to a Formula 2,and not use in race by Rega, but the car was build to hillclimb in formula 2 specification in 1970 by Staino...

In the end of 80's,I try to "demelate" the story of TECNO F2...it's not really easy!!..because on this period some "magician" have interesting car to sell for the future F2 européan trophy!!!....and many cars where really replica....in this troubled period I try to discuss with mister Bodini...it's not really easy, and not "clean"....in france we have a Formula 2 "builder" who build 4 or 5 MARCH 712,and who interested to do the same job wih TECNO....he buy some chassis to Willy WIDAR,but never build this TECNO project, because banqueroute...I buy the last incomplete chassis to Willy in 1999(who say me,it's formula 2 with an history...,but I think it's a F3 frame) and sold it to Jalladon, who build it in formula 2....

I try to do as I say, but sometimes it takes me a while. So, just eight years later, I have found him. According to Echappement, "Randall" was the pseudonym of Rampal. He raced a F2 Tecno through 1973 and on one occasion it was called "la Tecno-Opal que pilotait Rua l'an passé" (the Tecno driven by Rua last year).
