expaddockrunner should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Vettel TV Cam

BBC Qualifying show yesterday showed a camera shot from inside the crash helmet.

How much coverage will we see, shame its from the guy that is normally at the front with no one in front!

Nothing in the race.

Probably not the best view that you would ever want to see, no matter whose helmet it's put on.

Strange to have it but not show it.

He used a different helmet during Qually and the race.

The Camera was on the top of his helmet not inside it.

How true, jamesramone
ScotsBrutesFan, it was just some coverage that was shown, i dont think it was said where the camera was, just called helmet shot!

It was on top. Seb's eye-line is roughly flush with the top of the cockpit. In the camera shot you could see halfway down the nose and suspension uprights etc.

I still struggle to see why FOM seemingly have so much trouble with the concept and how they have alittle play every few years. CART had 3-4 in-helmet cameras per race, and that was almost 10 years ago!!. http://youtu.be/x3CLCPhYQfc

Bobby K ran one in testing at Monza a few years back too: http://youtu.be/wpLjvkh4hQE

I understand that the FIA are very reluctant to put cams inside helmets for safety concerns.

Apparently, some viewers said that Vettel's helmet cam made them feel sick!
