That is absolutely ridiculous to bar him on those grounds. This has got to be political. |

There is a whiff of either politics or sheer incompetence around Macau this year.

The rule is obviously devised to stop no-hopers with no experience taking part in what is a blue-riband event.
BTCC has similar rules that new entrants must have done a certain amount of testing first. The difference is that the BTCC rules are worded such as 'or equivalent' and is at series director's digression, so that a driver of Huff's calibre could take part even if he didn't meet the exact criteria. TCR obviously forgot that bit of the wording and are stuck having to enforce the rules as they are written. |

But I don't know why Edgar Lau, Hon Kei Lou and Chi Lun Tang are also on the list. As far as I know, they didn't run any TCR race this year, am I wrong?

Likewise BTCC regular Adam Morgan is entered. As far as I known he has never driven a TCR car but has competed in CTCC this year. |

It's a shame that none of the UK teams can justify the cost to send a couple of cars out there. It's be interesting to see how they'd compare to TCR and CTCC on track. In fact it'd be great if Honda could get the BTCC, WTCC and TCR Civics out on track for a back to back comparison! |

The rule itself isn't dumb, the fact they have no exception for drivers like Huff is though.

Looks like the 308 is priced to sell.
Wonder how many of those we'll see around - and what kind of support Peugeot will provide for their teams. We could some more works-blessed squads a la WRT. |
