I'm pretty sure the deal with WP was to supply an engine for #33 and tweak the GRM engine in #34 until the midseason delivery that you mentioned.

Yes, correct. But the 'tweak' you mention didn't do much in the horsepower stakes for Caruso. This was evident at Hidden Valley last year. His exit speed out of the last corner was similiar to others around him - yet he was still getting gobbled up by the end of the straight, while Lee's car held its own.
Regardless, I think Robbo will have a good season this year.
