Some brilliant *cough* Richard Sproston quotes

Picking up on the James Allen thread, I think the mouthpiece of the Knickerbrook commentary box is worthy of his own thread.

I'll start you off. At the first ever car race meeting at Anglesey in 1997, Sprocket opened proceedings thus.
"Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen and welcome to the first inaugural meeting here at Anglesey"

I wonder when the second inaugural meeting was !!!

I have many more, but over to you lot.

Don't upset him No.38 [number changed to protect No.71 - oops]
That's another one best not gone into for 'unofficial legal reasons'

I've given it one month and nobody seems interested in this thread, so I am bringing it back to the top.

I can't think why nobody is replying, because this man is a legend in the North West and equally as abject as James Allen.

Thanks Diz,i'll add 2 more: "He must have spun off out of sight as i did'nt see it". Last weeks,"It's excitingly-boring" Must be a Sports 2000 race!!
Perhaps nobody listens,or do they only listen to the colour coded comm @ Anglesey?

Most of the drivers tend to be in the cars Diz and so unable to hear him in full flight .I heard him at the weekend and he seemed to be more keen on the duff weather info he was given by his researchers !!
I did have a chuckle as he did at his comment "Derek Rodgers has just removed himself from the 3 car battle"

I listened to him droning on at the Formula Woman meeting (am I allowed to mention that) he didn't have much to work with and spent most of the day chatting about various non related subjects with the startline commentator.

Do I detect a little edge in your voice?
We need more marshalls, I don't think we need any more commentaters ...especially me!

I never find Wilkins entertaining in the slightest. If only Marcus Pye could do all Mallory events instead of just a handful each year.

Marcus tends to do a lot of 750MC and HSCC events - including the 750MC two-day meeting at Silverstone at the end of August this year.

Thanks Darcym thats give me some new ideas to use @OP. I'm begining to think hiding on circuit in my Ray95 in a ff1600 race is better for my anger management
Does anyone know how long the commentator ""Huntin" season lasts??
