Well, it used to be "you must capitulate to a red car even if you're racing him for track position" but a lot of drivers have been ignoring the rule in recent years. Perhaps it now only applies to dwarves in green cars.

Wasn't that bad, season finale with the title up for grabs.

The double-points: of course it made no difference. If it was a million points for the win, it wouldn't have made a difference. That's because the guy leading the points was leading the race. Double-points only makes things exciting if it's the guy/s behind in points that is ahead. I don't hate double points, it was better in Indycar due to the tracks it was used on. And it's a buttload better than Nascars new points.

If Mercedes weren't dominant this season and Williams/RB/McLaren were able to get in the mix, and Rosberg had been able to lead off the line, double points could have made all the difference, assuming Nico didn't break down.

Other seasons it would have made a difference as well.

Anyway, overall I think I'd only give this season a 6.5. Mercedes' domination really stunk it up, and it'll be the same next year.

I found the GP2 and Indycar seasons much more exciting.

I am terribly late to this discussion but a tip of the hat to Nico for wanting to finish the race even though the team was planning to retire the car. It's these little bits of sportsmanship that F1 needs these days, IMHO. Nice touch asking to go and congratulate Lewis in the podium winners' area after the race, too.
