I was only 7 at the time! Then 7 years later when I was 14 I went to my first ever ChampCar race....the 1986 (first Molson Indy) Toronto Molson Indy....

Raving should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Dov, as far as I know the first Molson Indy was in Sanair 1984 Sept 9th, won by Bobby Rahal.

I didn't follow the CART series much before 92, but I hadn't missed Indy on TV since 76 or 77. Up until recently, that is.

I've also got the Autocourse book to which Jordi refers, and it's excellent. The photography is fantastic.
