kmchow should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
world ebut of Accord racer??

Could this be the first touring car debut for the Honda Accord? It's a tough call since the Honda Accord is marketed as the Acura TSX in NA. OTOH, I believe there is an endurance racing prepped Honda Accord already in Japan?

Realtime, a semi-works team, has been racing Acuras for many years.

kmchow your right. Both spoon and 5zigen have prepared accords last year for the super endurance series.

It'll be nice to see the Accords/TSXs in the orange/red and white livery.

this is a nice car and it is great to see the Speed World challenge getting so much manufacturer interest in TC and GT but that car looks great.

Yeah, we're discussing which series will get the NEW bodystle of Euro Accord (our TSX). There doesn't seem to have been many built for racing. It seems Honda has choosen the Civic hatchback to be their touring car. OTOH, someone said the Civic hatchback needed some new/extra attention

The car has been really fast, too. It's been at the pointy end of the grid all week.

The Acura TSX (aka Euro Accord) has managed to capture 2nd place in it's debut race. Not bad for an unproven racecar? The car that beat it? A BMW. Not much suprise there? A Mazda came 4th.

Here's the top 10 finishers.

1)BMW 325i
2)Acura TSX (aka Euro Accord)
3)BMW 325Ci
4)Mazda Protege
5)BMW 325i
6)Mazda Protege
7)BMW 325Ci
8)Acura RSX
9)BMW 325i
10)Mazda Protege

You have piqued my interest. What is this 'super endurance series'?

This series is probably close to a Grand Am race in the US. In other words, they run for several hours over long periods of time, they require a driver change. The series is not a sprint race.

I think that endurance races are tiring to watch though it gives a team more chance to fight back from mechanical or driver issues. Pit and fuel strategy are also more important. The series also seems more affordable than the JGTC for example. So there is value to racing for long times.
