Welcome to the forum,

You might like to try the CSCCGB website. Someone there might help or try Florian at Touring-cars.com.

Failing that I fully expect a visit from Sparky who will be asking you all sorts of questions.

Ber-luddy hell!! A real Vita-Min?

Oooh! Can I have a look Mister!!

What year is it? Mk1 or Mk2 Body shell?
Is it in the original paintwork? What colour(s)?
Did you get any scrute sheets with it?
Does it have the origional 1071S lump in it?
Beam axle or subframe? Hydrolastic or dry?

I have a couple of references to British Vita Racing in my (ahem) extensive Mini refence library.
John Handley did a lot of driving for BVR, and I've discovered a few more names, but if you can give me a little more info, I'll see what I can find.

Hello Sparky,
the car is a 1964 1071s. The origonal lump has gone. We belive it was used for testing supercharges.
It is Mk1 and is not the origonal colour. No scrut sheets with it and is dry suspention. B.V.R. is on the log book as owning the car. Thanks Paul

I'm not having a lot of luck Paul.
Without a competition number, or evidence of races entered or who by, then I don't know... I'm assuming the colour was green/white at some stage?

Perhaps TimD might know of some other course you could take?

If I have any advice to give it would be to contact Basil Wales at http://www.minicooper.org/

He certainly should be able to 'verify' the cars heritage and countenance, and will most likely be as enthusiastic as I am to hear of your cars existance.
I expect the Chassis and registration numbers will reveal everything you ever wanted to know.

One thing though: Please say you'll return and let us know its history! I would love to see a photo or three, if you have any to hand.

Sorry I couldn't of more help.

BOF 3C - leave it with me.

Same questions, though.
Austin or Morris?
Original colour(s)?
Specification? (997cc? Wet suspension? etc)
Any documentation worth investigating? Scrute sheets, event programmes or
(most importantly) racing number(s) etc?

Give me as much as you can and I'll do my level best.
