Flag "lost" at Mallory 20/3/05
I was flagging at Post 7 at 750MC at Mallory on Sunday 20th March.
I loaned one of my own yellow flags to post 8 (observer Ramsay Inglis) for them to use at the end of session when directing the cars into the paddock. Unfortunately, when I went to fetch it at the end of the day, it had disappeared (should have been left on the bank for me). Does anybody who was on post 8 have any idea what might have happened to it? The flags might be quite old but they cost a fortune to replace so, if at all possible, I really would like to get it back. I am at Mallory on Easter Monday (BRSCC) so any clues before then would be useful if I have to search through the circuit flags. My flag is a fluorescent yellow and has yellow tape on the end of the handle. Bill |

Hi Bill
It isn't in my set. I'll ask Glyn, he was down there so he may have an idea what happened to it. We were using my spare yellow to flag from the end of the advertising hoarding but someone may have thought it should be put back into the observers' box. |

I spoke to Glyn but he was the other end of the post at end of play so he doesn't know what happened to it. Apparently, they didn't use it all day because we flagged them in from the other end of the advertising hoarding. He wonders whether the observer that was there put it away in the box. I didn't see Ramsey with anything but there was another observer who spent all day in the box between 7 and 8.

Closure has been achieved - the missing flag was discovered in the Post 8 Observer's box on Easter Monday.
