"be an F1 driver" Motors TV

i am not sure of the exact title or indeed the correct forum. I have watched teh last three weeks worth and cant help but think that the guy running it with Chris Snowdon is a complete tool! He chucked out a boy last week who was streets ahead of the others because he hadnt "improved" as much as others - he was quickest by some margin and it became clear it was a clash of characters.
Last night they let several drivers go out in an F3 car without balaclava or gloves - surely that is a very poor track discipline.
Does anyone know what has happened to previous winners? Have to say I was quite pleased the girl was thrown off as she clearly thought she was a lot more special than she was!
Maybe I am the only viewer!!!

The full title is 'So you want to be an F1 driver'. I have to admit that I haven't seen the latest installment, but I was equally surprised that they were letting drivers out in Formula Renaults and Sports 2000s without balaclavas and gloves.

Coincidently, Margo Gardner isn't completely new to this type of driving competition, having driven in the first Formula Woman championship.

I don't know all that much about Tim Matthews, although he has raced in Thoroughbred Grand Prix in an ex Brundle Tyrrell and more recently in Sports 2000.

TGP and Sports 2000 is simply a case of writing a cheque as they are both amatuer classes. I think that is what the winner races in isnt it? He probably rents his car to the series!

Erki has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
On Motors TV? I haven't seen it. When is it on?

The winner gets a run in a EuroBOSS Benetton. The prize a couple of years ago was a race in Thoroughbred Grand Prix at Monza in Tim Matthew's Tyrrell.

Mark Johnstone was the winner back in '03. He since done a few races in TVR Tuscans and Formula Palmer Audi. Apparently he is into drifting now.

I think the '04 competition was won by a Brady James, who has since raced in Sports 2000 and last years Walter Hayes Trophy. I don't know whether he has had his EuroBOSS race. The '04 final should have featured Tiffany Chittenden but had to drop out for some reason.

It's actually on on Sundays at 8pm, and then repeats (sometimes late at night) during the week.
