SEMSEC (Lydden) 4th June and the future!!!!

Dear competitor,

Please find attached a statement issued today by the SEMSEC board of directors confirming the intention to run the meeting on 4th June at Lydden.

‘Statement by the SEMSEC board of Directors

Following various rumours the SEMSEC board wish to confirm that thanks to external support we are confident that the 4th June race meeting at Lydden with the Rochester Motor Club Sprint in the morning will go ahead as planned.

The meeting will include races for the MG CC Midget Challenge, SEMSEC saloons and sports cars, sports racing and kit cars and open single seaters.

The board recognise that in these difficult times and with the reduced support we have seen this year, the future viability of meetings is seriously affected.

If support does not substantially improve for the 4th June meeting the calendar for the rest of the year becomes uncertain.

Attached is a copy of the event regulations together with an entry form. It is imperative that entries are received by the standard closing date – Wednesday 25th May, to ensure the programme for the event can be planned effectively.

For this event SEMSEC has removed the online surcharge for using debit and credit cards if you enter on line. You can do this by following the link http://www.semsec.org.uk/online/index.html

If you wish to see SEMSEC continue to run race meetings at Lydden it is imperative that you support this meeting and encourage as many other competitors as possible to enter the event as well.
