Remember...?
Remember when on the silly season a few years ago (venue-wise) they had thought of having a race around central park?
I seem to remember www.seventhgear.com and they were speculating some sort of race around Central Park in NYC, any news on how this is coming along? That would've been a good race to attend, since i live like near nowhere... |

That my friend, will never happen!
The aristocratic bluebloods, and well heeled residents, living in their million dollar high rises around Central Park would never let such a low-brow event such as auto racing take place in the vicinity of their virgin ears. Our good Mayor recently put the kabosh on the planned NASCAR track in Staten Island, which is a far less afluent area, saying, "well I'm not sure why people want to see cars go around in circles anyway". Kind of tells you that racing of any type in this town is DOA... |

Such a shame the New York "city fathers" have such an attitude - a street race there would be ideal.

The event would be the icing on the cake for Champ Car.
