Daily Double
Just a bit of fun here , Since the inception of the V8 FORMULA since 1993, Has anyone other than LOWNDES/MURPHY in 1996, won both the enduros in the same year? Correct me if I'm wrong, but they are the only ones that have, that I can remember! As I said in this era!
(I can remember BROCKY doing the feat a couple of times with Jimmy / Larry in the 70s/80s,) If there was a trend to follow SBR won the 500, and HRT won the 1000 last year! This year HRT won the 500, and MAYBE? SBR will win the 1000. Remembering that the last 2 times that FORD have won BATHURST since 93, the STONES were engineering the winning car! DJR 94, AJR / STONES 98. Tasmanians in BATHURST winning FORDS have a familar ring also! Then again! the last time the DAILY DOUBLE was won, was by HRT was'nt it, in 96? So who knows?? |

Johnson/Bowe won Sandown and Bathurst in 1994.
