Rickinkazoo should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
250 Karts

Hi, this is my first post. We race at Gingerman, Gratten,
Mid Ohio and Road America to name a few. I am thinking of
moving up to 250 single. Want to know what karts you guys
like the best, I know Anderson is good but can't afford
that one. I like the PVP and MRE I think it's called, I
think it's made by Michael Soh of Canada. Do you have any
other suggestions and anything on motors would be
appreciated too.
Thanks, Rick

Rickinkazoo if you race at Mid Ohio do you know Rob Forker? I email him from time to time and his site has links to PVP and others
I would have thought Anderson wouldn't have been any more expensive than PVP,.
The fastest singles seem to be the Rotax 257,altough a bit dearer for parts and availiblity isn't as good as the YZ Yamaha that most guys here run,
Why not go to a twin? not much more to run than a single and a bit faster.
My current kart is a mostly home built chassis running a Yamaha TZ250 engine (75-80hp)and Anderson bodywork, normally run on a 3.5km circuit (Ruapuna NZ)
I have seen Mid Ohio on tv with the Champ cars nice track!

250 Kart

Well I am not a very good motor man and I need to keep it as simple
as possible. I think that will be fasr enough for now I am moving up
from 100cc sprints, big stept isn't it. I am 44 and find the 250
class more at ease from what I have seen and the people seem to be
alot older not kids with nothing to loose.
Let me know what you think on this. Also my friend Jerry has a 250
Swift with a Rotax single so he can help me. I don't like the Swift
though I like the PVP but may have to buy cheaper right now.
You can get a Swift with a motor for under 5,000. Do not know Rob
would like to meet him, I look at his site everyday to see whats
new.
Our home track is Gingerman Raceway in South Haven Michigan, about
50 minutes from me. gingermanraceway.com is the address, check it out
it's nice. It's 2 miles long. We do have nice tracks here in the
U.S., you haven't lived to you go race at Road America, 4 miles long
and very exciting. My email is leebuc@ecybermind.net if you want to
email me sometime, will keep you posted on my progress. Me and my friend Dave are moving up so I hope to get this done by the spring
cold here right now.
Thanks, Rick
