Opel Kadett B information request

I'm trying to find out the motorsport history of the Opel Kadett B model, which was made in the last half of the 60s.

As far as I can make out, the Rallye Coupe model was used as a rally car and the saloon model was raced under Steinmetz colours. Do any of you have any more information, photos or weblinks? (I can't seem to find decent pictures anywhere.)

Thanks,
Screech.

Anuauto has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
It had quite a good record on the RAC Rally. I think 1969 in particular? (2nd and other top spots behind the Kallstrom Lancia?) Swedish dealer team cars? Only photos I have are from contemporary press. Motorsport had some colour pictures around that time.

Screech, try to find the book "Opel Motorsport mit Tradition"; not too expensive and with many pictures.
The Opel Kadett B raced is Sweden, was a good group 1 rallye car and Helmut mander was a famous hillclimber in the 70's with a Kadett B.

It must have been 1970, not 1969, they had good results on RAC Rally.

It was 1970. They came 2nd, 3rd and 4th behind Kallstrom's Lancia.

Ove Eriksson was 2nd, can't remember 3rd and 4th drivers at the moment, but I'll dig my Autosport report out if it'll help

Thanks for the answers, guys.

I've found an old book from the early 70s on rallying and a quite a few enthusiast sites on the net, though most are in German. Still trying to find info about the Steinmetz cars, if anyone has any clues.

Thanks,
Screech.
