Rod Birley should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Track & Race Lydden

As promised the Track and Race championship rounds at Lydden on 21st May will see split grids. The likely format is classes A and C in one pair of races, and B, D and E in the other pair. By popular demand there will be untimed practice at the start of the morning, at least 3 x 15 minute seesions (£50 total) to assist the new drivers and people with new cars or re-built cars. Entry forms are available from Claire. Don't wait until the last minute, enter now.

Testing at Croix is on the Friday, contact either Claire or BARC HQ. Thanks for the good wishes mig, points are on my website (not confirmed yet, only a guide) but it shows Peter Wilkinson and Bill Richards are making the early running, with Nick Williamson close behind.

Check out Rods website. They can be found at the bottom the 2005 Calendar page and although they are unofficial we think they are pretty accurate.

Engine still not gonna be ready so looks like I'm a spectator again. Do you get points for that as I could win the championship that way

Bad news Andy. There are some additional awards this year at each round, such as "best prepared car" and "driver of the race".

Yes a timetable would be useful...with Sam being unable to compete til he has the all clear from the docs we're at a loose end this weekend so are thinking of coming down.

Practice from 11 am, lunch break 12.20 to 1.20, racing from 1.30 ( 8 races), should all be finished by 4.30 (famous last words!!) followed by prize giving. There is a bit of untimed practice (testing) from 9 am. The latest entry list shows 15 single seaters, 35 T&R saloons, 14 sports and saloons.

Well it stayed sunny, at least during practice and the races. Good close racing particularly in the second classes B,D and E race. Five drivers fighting for second place all race long, eventually finished in the order Weatherley, Brent (demon last lap move), Richards, Govett. The race winner was Nick Williamson. Driver of the day awards went to Steve Weatherley and Leigh Franklin who somehow squeezed past Ray Barrow on the lastlap of the A and C race. Well done to Lee McNair who not only drove well but picked up the best prepared car award. Good stuff.
Pity Mr.Thurston's gearbox broke.
