Poor Mr Pipe. That engine has been as much as a nightmare as my rear axle, though those nice people at Hauser Racing say that it'll be ready NEXT wednesday.

Got a test booked for a week Thursday at Snet, so hope I don't break it!!

Sent my forms off by fax over a week back.

Might Have !

I lent last years Fiesta to my cousin so there'd be someone slower out there, and the bugger hasn't got his race licence yet - only sprinting it !

Racing59 one of my customers may have a Ford 9" locked Spool going begging as he has bought a Transam drag car and wants to put it on the road (crazy fool). Interestingly I found out that on that Penske IROC camaro I am attempting to renovate that they run a limited slip diff on the ovals and a locked spool on the circuits which I found strange bit is probably because of the tyre stagger they use on the ovals would mince a fully locked diff. What are you proposing to use?

I'm using a True Track (Torque Biasing) diff. Locked spool - been there, tried that, too much understeer, eats the front tyres

Rob.

Won't be doing Brands, but my advice would be take the Fiesta to Lydden.

What day are you guys racing? I've got an Astra that I believe has raced in TRC before, and I wanted to have a look at a couple of rounds before getting out there next season.
Now the CT is saturday only, was wondering whether I needed to beg for just a one-day pass out and see TRC as well, or if you were on sunday instead. Can't find a timetable anywhere for that weekend.

Hi I will be there for my first taste of TRC action.
Last year at semsec my Mini could keep the BMWs honest but this year they seem a little quicker.
However Mr Mig is working on my car this week so look out Miltek BMWs!!
P.S Havent done a rolling start since stockrods 1995!

Thanks, Gary. Glad to see you get a finish on Sunday, car looked good as well. I was there with Ash (Hargreaves), but he's yet to enter for Lydden so glad you could fill me in.

(apologies if you're not Gary, but i seemed to recall your username from another thread )

What Astra have you got ? I've run a group N GSI in the series so far and am enjoying it - could do with more power though - will live with what I've got for the rest of the year and go for a bit more over the winter provided I don't bend it again !- It'd be good to see another astra out there !

I've seen a few pictures of yours, Alan; looks very nice. It's okay after your meeting with the grass bank at Lydden?
I've got Andy Mitchell's old Mk2 8v GTE. It was to Roadsaloon regs so I'm trying to improve it while keeping it eligible for a few series so I can whore myself around whatever comes down this way when Classic Thunder isn't on. I doubt it will be out this year, tho, no matter how much I kid myself
There's a very quick Mk3 and a couple of Mk2s in Hot Hatch that I keep meaning to go and have a look at.

Astra back together and I raced it at Croix since Lydden - worst mechanical damage was a bent wishbone ( had a new one in spares Kit along with headlight etc etc- Alex (TRC Class A Escort ) came round and checked front geometry and set up tracking, and if Croix is anything to go by, It handles a lot better now than pre accident-just need more power and driver improvements! ( It's not nervous now as it was braking for the elbow at Lydden)

Gents,- Thanks (off subject) I now have the entry forms for Brands on 30th and they are in the post on the way to BARC Thruxton !
