Do they race back to the flag in the WTCC? In the past few years they have utilised this practice in the BTCC

Although NASCAR only did away with racing to the flag a few years ago, there was a supposed 'Gentlemen's Agreement' not to race to the flag (unless it was to the finish) and to generally let a lapped car through to get a lap back. This changed at SOnoma i think when mid-race Robby Gordon passed Jeff Gordon racing back to the flag breaking the agreement... the uproar stopped this practice, and as a result saw the introduction of the 'Lucky Dog' business

Not as such, we've tended to wait for the leading car to arrive near the start line before displaying the flags. Changed as at the start of this year.
