Best Track that You have Raced on

I was just interested to find out which all you people out there believe is the best track that you have raced on.

For me it was a track that we could only do Lap Dashes on in Katoomba, New South Wales, Catalina Park. It was a really interesting layout lots of blind corners and very fast in parts, particullary coming up to The Tunnel. I dont know why I like it because I ended up putting my First Race car into the wall on the exit of The Tunnel.

So what are your thoughts............

Phillip Island, it is sooooo fast and the trill of holding the accelerator flat through turns 11 and 12 and sweeping at blinding speed onto the main straight.

Lukey Heights gives the car a scary moment, as you lose all downforce and it is a high G turn over the crest of a hill.

Turn 1 is taken at virtually full throttle (depending on the car). It is a real drivers track. Horsepower doesn't get you the lap record, rather piecing together a complete lap. You must be perfect with all execution to get a quick lap time.

I love it.

For challenge:
Spa: Trying to take Eau Rouge flat only then to fly over the blind crest at Radillon onto the top straight, screaming downhill into the double apex at Pouhon and then barely got your breath back before the daunting Blanchimont. (Where I hit the wall at 150mph plus...)
For flight!:
Brands GP just for the sensation of flying over Dingle Dell!

For speed:
Monza! Arriving at the Ascaris on the rev limiter in 6th then trying to slingshot through for the run down the next straight... awesome.

Lakeside raceway is one of the fastest and most challenging tracks in Australia. There are no really tight corners and the circuit is very flowing and undulating with minmal runoff area and every corner is different. It isn't a horsepower circuit either.

I love it.
I watched John McCormack do that in a Formula 5000... well, almost, he turned into the corner before backing off, every lap in the McLaren M23.

I agree with the Island, though I never raced at Lakeside or Bathurst. Warwick Farm was excellent too.
