New Year's Day event at Brooklands Museum

hi lads, just a quick heads-up for the annual gathering at Brooklands Museum in Surrey. The Museum will be open from 10am on New Year's Day for ANY pre-1973 vehicle, be it car, bike or even commercial vehicle! I went this year and had a blast, by 11am we had around two hundred vehicles under a clear blue sky.
Expect anything from veteran cars to Hot Rods to classic bikes - that’s the joy of the event - you just don’t know what is going to turn up!
Here's a couple of pics from this year to whet your appetites :

Don't forget there is all the other usual musueum exhibits to take a look at while you are there : the Wellington Bomber that was rescued from Loch Ness in 1985, newly arrived Vickers Vimy bi-plane bomber, Concorde Delta Golf, the Grand Prix Exhibition featuring a Jordan F1 car, an ex-Senna McLaren and more, numerous racing bikes, there's also the restaurant and shop too.

You do not have to travel to Brooklands to see old cars etc. on New Years Day, The VSCC hold several "Pub Meets" around the country, There is one such meet at Stony Stratford in Buckinghamshire and another one at Steeple Aston in Oxfordshire.
rbs is online now

If anyone had it pencilled in, the VSCC New Years Driving Tests scheduled for this weekend have been postponed.
