1964 Motoring News
Does anyone have a copy of Motoring News probably dated sometime in February (or early March) 1964.
The issue would feature a report of the Filldyke MN Rally which took place in the fens. The article would mention a Chrysler Valiant entered by Dick Jones and Derek Harling (that's me!). Much to everyone's surprise - they actually phoned us and told us the car was not suitable - we actually did quite well and apart from a trick navigation test (which I failed) we would have come 1st or 2nd - in our first event. Would love to get a photocopy of the article. Nostalgia calls - must be my age. Derek |
