Does anyone have any idea or details about the SBR open day this year? I will be there for sure but need to know when it is. I've looked at their webssite but i hasen't been updated since last year

Anyone else head out to Binary St today?
It appeared the attendence was WAY down on previous years.
I wonder if it's because Marcos has left, or whether people haven't warmed to Courtney yet?
Maybe Russell doesn't have the same pulling power?
Russell's car looks very similar to last year. The Jeld-Wen car looks pretty good front on, but the rest is very plain.
Seto seemed quite happy though...

kmsport has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Gee Whizz, here's arguably one of V8SC's highest profile teams that cannot even update their website so that the fans could possibly miss the open day....
I know of lower profile businesses that actually employ an events and marketing/PR position full time!

I dont know what time you were there but I was there at arond 11 ish and the street was lined both sides with cars as well as around the corner!
The drivers area was packed with people and My guess would have taken about over an hour to see them! The merchandising area was funny, seeing people diving into the big boxes Like a boxing day sale, chasing that elusive bit of "old stock" merchandise! There were plastic bags and bit s and peices all over the floor! Plenty of people spending, one bloke I heard saying he spent about $150.00
Russells car didn't look too much different to last years only with No 1 on the side! No 4 (Courtneys) Looked better without the fluro lime/yellow it had, the blue and yellow SBR type paint from old looked better I think no 4 looks better than last years car

1 hour and fifteen minutes and he didn't have a problem with signing a poster with the no.8 on it from the start of the clipsal 2000. true professional that lad.

I got there about 12.45pm, so it must have thinned out a bit compared to earlier in the day.
I think I spent most of the time checking out all those old Cobras.

Great to see SBR letting the public in, once again. A high profile Red Team should learn from this. Don't hold your breath-too many Chiefs and not enough Indians.

lowdown should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I got there at 9.00am and was surprised at how small the crowd was. Yes the streets were lined with cars but the work shop had stuff all people in it. I remember last year it was packed. I went back again at 1.00pm and there was next to no one there. The merchandise area only had the diehards there trying to find that shirt or jacket that someone missed. They say 5000 people. Last year they said 9000. The cars looked good. Thank god they changed that yellow on Courtney's car. I think DJR did alright out of it as well. I went there at 2.15 and the car park was packed. Picked up some very cheap Westpoint stuff. When I left SBR I followed Seton and Youldon up Binary road and was very surprised to see them get into an old EF ute. Glen driving. He dropped Luke off around the back of SBR and then head to the Coast. Can't wait for Saturday.

At the launch the Series will unveil its 2006 look and feel to the public when all of the freshly painted cars, drivers and more than 15 spectacular 25 metre long ‘B-Double’ transporters will be put on public display along Little Stanley Street that lines the South Bank Parklands.

i'll be there.
