RedNine Racing has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
My top 5 are:

Murphy 5 min Penalty 2002(Thats Tops)
J.Richards :your all a pack of a**holes :1992
L.Perkins taking lead of race than hitting pitwall as he pitted.i think in 2001 or 2002
P.Radisich killing the field in 99 and then hitting a ditch on top of mountain and than gettingba puncture about a lap later.Heartbreakin!
Seton having the race won only to lose engine with 9 laps to go.Still cant believe that and still struggle to think about it!

yeah I think 1992 rates as one of the most memorable just for the events that happened on the day , whether it was the best remains to be seen.

murphs penalty has to be way up there (as well as his comment about that tent last year or the year before I cant remember now)

94 has to rate highly , a simply amazing weekend all round.

Just so many memories good and bad its hard to define them into a top 5 I think , but certainly with just a week to go its a fantastic thread to start and relive those moments

Dick in the trees in '83.

The shortened races '81 & '92.

I'd put KB's lap in the Camaro up there with Murf.

The windescreen kicked out of Brock's VK.

Brock on slicks in the wet in '87.

And the entire '94 race!

And that bloody rock.

Ford 1-2 in 77 (my first bathurst memory)
the Corrollas crashing in the Wet in 87 (my first bathurst and we were right where they hit the wall)
Larkos Pole (to kick HRT out of P1)
Ambose pole in 2001 ($5 at 15:1) my shout boys.
any time HRT have crashed or had an engine failure

For me, its seeing some poor and I'd say rather drunk guy lying down in what you would have to call a creek running down from the castrol tower in the freezing cold in just shorts, singlet and thongs. it was very cold and pi$$ing down with rain.

Bowe in the DJR Falcon vs Lowndes in a HRT Commadoor last 18 or so laps... When Lowndesy missed his brake marker and went around the outside of Bowe nobody could believe it... nobody... awesome.

Lowndes couldn't either! Great move and an unbelievable "classic catch" to get out of that one!

Bathurst moments:

Perkins in 1993 was very clever and well judged, the last of the Holden stock block 308s against the ciggie-dough Chev superior donks.

Brock's 1982 and '84 drives were very classy and assured, almost cocky some might say but thoroughly earned and well-managed.

1992 for edge-of-seat controversy.

1991 was pretty dull!

1994 was a tough race- one that no matter who won, you applauded and admired.

1995- last to first, those last 20 laps, shheet!!

2002- how that engine lasted is amazing. Astonishing really. You have to acknowledege that regardless of allegiances.

2003- a qula lap even the greatest driver ever would notice from above. Senna would have been grinning wryly...

1) Watching Brock stream away in 97, gapping himself out from Murphy and Perkins.... Scinitilating stuff!

2) 1994.... any way you look at it, no matter who won, it was an amazing race! $1 million on line for Brock, the amazing first stint where Perkins, Skaife, Brock and Bowe all had a go at leading...wow!

3) A little away from the 1000, the '03 24 hour event's last 5 laps! Murphy and Tander going at it! Awesome to see the 'Naro slide around on greasy, used up tyres!

4) Last of the Big Bangers. 1984 had a special feel about it - even though the race, with Brock running away, was boring, seeing the last of the Group C cars come home with an emphatic win, was awesome!

5)1987. First Bathurst I actually Reemmber, without the aid of a Tape...and was an interesting race!

No one can forget Brocky winning by SIX laps in 1979 and setting the lap record on the last lap. I'd love to see him do the same this year but i don't think so.

Brock and Jimmy getting pole in 79
Brock and Jimmy leading every lap even when in the pits
Brock breaking the lap record on the last lap
Brock and Jimmy win by 6 laps
Moffat in the commentry box, and witness it happen on live T.V. Priceless! Great era though!

My Top 5

1977 for the 1-2 finish
1979 for Brock's utter dominance, the likes of which will never be seen again
1981 Dick's first win, the first red flag.
1994 Bowe v Lowndes
1995 Seton's heartbreak at the end

81- The first 20 laps with DJ, 05, KB & Bobby Morris going at it hammer & tongs & #17 winning.

89- Total domination from #17

94- Probably the greatest race so far in Bathurst history & one of DJ's best drives especially in his last stint against Brad Jones in the Lowndes mobile..

80- The Rock

83- The demolition of what was a very good chassis, probably better than the 84 ATCC winning chassis.

The list could go on & on as a DJR supporter, 88,90,92,93,95,99,00,03
One thing about being a DJR fan, there's always something happening when it comes to Bathurst.

My most memorable moment (there are others but you guys have already listed them) was when I was doing a walking lap of the track in 82. Down the end of the dipper heading into Forrest Elbow, Brock was overtaking another car on the outside, meanwhile, with right arm out the window he was giving the bird to the Ford fans who were boo'ing him.

TSR has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
1. Dick's Forrest Elbow trip in 1983
2. Dick's spin on Conrod in 1988
3. Murphy's dunny job (WERE HE BELONGS)
4. Moffat's 1-2 in 1977
5. The Moffat COBRA'S in the 1978 looking awsome over the second bump on Conrod on Lap 1.

And Brock's air condintion Commodore in the 1986 race is worth a mention

1978, Camping at Castrol Curve (can you still do that?), going into the Bathurst Leagues Club for a swim (and shower) in a mates Toyota Corona (Y Block 302/Auto/9") on Saturday night (evening) and leaving all and sundry scratching their heads .... "was that a Corona?????"

For Real... Grice's 100 MPH lap, Win and AG's 1990 win. (Thats a win - win situation)

1981 - Dick's revenge
1994 - Bowe at his finest

Too many great things to put in here, but one I remember was Peter Hills at the 1998 Super Tourer Top 10 Shootout. I was the only person on the hill just out of the cutting, and when Hillsy came around on the cool down lap, I gave hime a wave (go the fords!). He saw me, and just went bolistic, punching the air, the steering wheel, the window net, the lot! You could hear him screaming over the engine!

He qualified 10th by a distance
