2008 Le Mans Classic

Yes, I know it's only January, but I like to get started early......

Anyone heard anything regarding the entry list? I did put in for an entry, but there's nothing on the website yet (it still says 'before Christmas'), and I've heard diddly-squat.

Happy New year all.....

Ats Automobili
The ATS Stile50 represents a completely new direction for the ATS brand: it's the first front mid-engined, rear wheel drive car that we've developed and we're justifiably proud of it!! The designers have deliberately bestowed the Stile50 with a very classical look, reminiscent of the finest and most beautiful spiders and roadsters of the 60's. Soft, graceful lines combine beautifully with a purposeful stance to deliver a car of rare character and style - but also one that delivers unrivalled driving pleasure (on both road and track). True to the ATS philosophy, a combination of a strong, light weight chassis, modern high efficiency engines and top quality componentry ensure that the looks are always backed up by the drive - all within a high value package. Beauty, lightness, power, craftsmanship and high value - the ATS Stile50 range.

The ATS Stile50 is designed for those who love a uniquely styled, classic car that is blessed with stupendous road covering ability. The turbocharged 1600cc GM engine delivers 210bhp and almost 30kg/m of torque and the performance figures speak for themselves: 0-60mph in just 4.5 seconds and a top speed of over 135mph. Light weight and rigidity ensures excellent roadholding. Coupled with the pin-point steering, this gives you incredible accuracy when cornering. The standard gearbox is a 5 speed manual with the option of a close ratio box, or a 6 speed sequential gearbox with paddle shift. The Stile50 is a true driver's car, but also a thing of rare beauty...

The stunning body is made of hand finished GRP resin to give the Stile50 better rigidity and stability, but primarily to reduce weight even further. Even in standard trim, the Stile50 is very highly specified. The componentry utilised is of the highest order; the high performance braking has been developed with Tarox and combines 6 piston calipers and ventilated discs, front and rear; ATS adjustable race specification dampers; beautifully clear, stylish, classic Smith's dials and the steering wheel made by Nardi-Torino. Not an exhaustive list, but it's easy to see the theme: the Stile50 is a car designed, built and specified with little room for compromise!

The standard specification is very generous, but there will doubtless be the desire to personalise your Stile50 to your exact tastes - and ATS appreciate this. For example, you can take weight saving to the ultimate level with a lightweight, ultra-rigid 25CrMo4 chassis, specify even larger brake discs, decide upon 2 way adjustable Ohlins dampers, specify alloy wheels. The list of personalisation options will appear endless - and that's before you even think about a huge range of exterior colours available and the variety of grades and shade options available to you for the interior trim. Allow us to make a Stile50 to your exact specification.
