I've never seen a race from this track, but with 2x 26 lappers there should be plenty of action!

honda should be more competetive here as the track is not that fast.

Thankfully, not as tight as Tianma was! Really hard to say what expectations are, I believe that it's very possible to see a non-Citroen win in Race 2, just like at the Hungaroring (if Ma Quing Hua doesn't start at the front of course)

I putting this on record when i know the times of the races, i think i see a SC might come out if there is a issue at the chicane there as that has a close enough barrier and track, also everyone has to be very careful as there is a small matter of getting switly to Shanghai after this race

This really is not a circuit worthy of hosting a World Championship event. I hope that whilst in China for the next couple of weeks François is searching for better venues for 2015, if indeed the series intends to have two mainland China races once again.

I have heard there is only one toilet in the entire paddock, for example!

You are right it's not really a "goldenport".

I would like to believe that Beijing was chosen only because it was a last-minute deal in order to save the race. At least, it's not Tianma.. And gives an element of unpredictability, great to see 3 factory teams so close together

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ordos_I...tional_Circuit Why not race in Ordos, for example? Oh, it's located somewhere far far away.. But there is Zhuhai, though. but the best solution would be to race in another country, don't really believe that 2 races in China give WTCC so much popularity both in terms of spectators and manufacturers

But, anyway, from this year it seems WTCC tries to find big wide modern circuits and that is a good tendency.

Further proof, perhaps, that the WTCC field is closer than it has been, with no Citroën drivers on the front row of the grid after Tom Chilton took pole:

Awful coverage. It seems Chinese TV directors care only about Loeb. Just when there is some action, they immediately turn on Lopez-Loeb train.

I'm not speaking about the poor recovery of the cars

I sincerely hope it was the first and the last time they visited this circuit.

Anwyway, great to see 2 non-Citroen wins, brilliant drive from Huff once more

Anyway, as for the race itself, all I want to say is fantastic stuff from Chilton and Huffy, managing to defend with worn tyres against faster cars. I was almost crying when the Russian national anthem (Weird heh?)was played after race 2. It's a disappointing race for Honda because this should have been their circuit.

The infrastructure itself, however, is utterly rubbish. No toilet, no screen, no broadcast, no scoreboard, no shop for franchise or hot food or tea! All bottled drinks were confiscated at the security checkpoint yet no place to buy any! $80 ticket to enter the grandstand only, nowhere else is open! I had to rely on my friends at the media center to pull me out of starvation with 5 cans of Red Bull.

Also, some photos from my poor camera. Seriously I'm not good at it.

You know what? At turn 1 the right rear tyre of all cars are off the ground basically, like a dog howling and peeing XD

What third world country circuit was that? Is that a circuit up to World FIA standard series? Of course not. Painting it black has nothing on the trouble one piece of purple paper can cause. Next time they better go race in Senegal. They have a better facility over there.

what a race weekend!

if there was any doubt that Huffy is a world class driver, this should put an end to that. pulling away from the field while Thommo fell back.

same with Chilton, I'm not one of his biggest fans, but that's starting to change after this weekend.

Finally managed to watch the races. Surprising results.
Great to see Chevy and LADA win.

Maybe the facility was poor but I liked the racing.
I have no problem if they return next season.
