Favourite Racing Holden
A very sad day for the good people employed at the Holden factory in Adelaide, along with the demise of the manufacturing industry in Australia and also the various other automotive suppliers that wiill be affected.
A straw poll among the ten tenths community for their favourite Holden racing car’s.
My favourites would be the,
1. A9X Hatchback Torana, the MHDT ones always looked fantastic.
The Torana always looked good whether on the circuit or speedway.
2. XU-1 Torana,
3. 1987 Brock VL Commodore.

Does Mark Skaife's VZ after Jack Perkin's tried to climb into the boot up Mountain Straight count?
If not, Grice's Blue/Red STP VH with all those flares, the Gibb's red GIO VL, or Grice's Chickadee VK.

No Peckstar, I was wat head Speedcafe!
UmaiNaa, are you serious?
One wonders how many Holden grey, red and blue motors have been used in circuit and speedway racing over the last 70 years. Likewise how many Holden gearboxes, front ends etc have been used in Motorsport in Australia and NZ over that time.
Anyone remember the Buchanan Holden special that was raced at Baskerville and Symons Plains in the 1960’s.
I don’t know whether is was a one of Tasmanian design, it whether they were produced and raced on the mainland.
Another favourite the Bob Morris A9X in the Channel 7 colours.

Interesting that Hare and Forbes were backing cars even back in 1986.
And I thought BJR had brought them to the sport.....
