There were rumours of a factory Schumacher/Alfa team last year. |

That was about a worksteam, something completely differrent if you ask me. As long as Guidici has the financials for it, it'll happen.

The first site to report this was www.racingworld.it, http://www.racingworld.it/dtm/notizi...?idtitolo=0841
Giudici is a man with a great will, but Alfa doesn't want a 159 in the DTM series. Alfa is officially doing WTCC, and wants his cars only in WTCC. They are pushing on Giudici to make him drop the idea, let's see who will win.. |

I believe the DTM rules have been changed now so that it doesn't have to be a official works entry.

Things will be different from next year on due to the new regulations. The factory teams won't develop new cars just to win a couple of tenths. So that means non work teams have more chances

It's a marketing matter i think, they choose WTCC, and they don't want to help DTM's growing, nor to lose from Mercedes and Audi, even in unofficial way. To answer to you FIRE, Gianni Giudici is a really rich man, he has money and passion to do such a thing to develop a good DTM car, but Alfa menaced legal actions. |
