kmchow should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I forget what was goingn to happen. I thought I read somewhere Opel could try and reshell some Astras as Vectras until the genuine Vectras are completed.

Opel has already 3 Astra sold to others private teams. 2 car to Peter Mamerrow and one to a team that will drive the 24 hours races from the Germany VLN series.
The number 6 car of the 24 Hours Nurburgring is used for rebuild the no 5 car so the no 6 car is no longer with us :-)
Gr Andre.

So we already have 3-4 confirmed DTM Independent entries? Anyone know if Mercedes or Audi managed to sell any of their cars to privateers?

Marmerrow has raced the DTM in 2001, but the Astra is still in his hands, what he will do with that car is uknown, the first Astra that he buy's is also now longer with us, it's was total loss after a the first test of mamerrow with this car.

So what's the background of Marmerrow? How can he afford a DTM car? Does he have a very supportive (aka-rich) sponsor? Or is he using his own money and company to "sponsor" his vehicle?

Mmmm, nice big wheel arches..reminds me of the mid-90's DTM

Still, it doesn't look as good as the illustration that was going about - perhaps because the cars still all silver.

Somehow looking at the A4, I can't but think of the Audi Avus from a few years back? The A4 is so wide looking?

You are right, but which car has such long wheelbase? Opel Vectra or Mercedes C-Class?

looking at the photos the driver sits so far back in the Audi. Presumably to gain best possible balance.

Alex K has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
So, Bleekemolen is OUT
I've read that in first part of 2004 he is driving Astra, than Vectra...
Maybe when he will move to Vectra Bleekemolen will get Astra

But I am very happy that he is staying on board

I think Bleekemolen did a pretty good job in his first season, and indeed maybe he gets an Astra half way the season.

Opel will start with 6 new Vectras and no Astra, there is even a chance for a 7th Vectra

This car is available for drivers with money. One of the potential drivers is Bleekemolen, but I don't think he can find the money.
