[Sausage] Sausage & Rice Casserole

Ingredients: 457g sausage meat
343g rice
1 onion, diced
salt, pepper
705ml beef bouillon or beef consomee
  • Break up sausage and brown in large pot.
  • Remove meat and drain fat.
  • Add saffron to 235ml bouillon
  • Melt 6 tbsp butter. Cook onions until translucent.
  • Add rice and cook 3 minutes, stirring constantly to prevent burning.
  • Add remaining bouillon and saffron bouillon
  • Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer 20 minutes.
  • Reheat sausage and add to rice mix. Stir and serve.
