Andretti, Foyt, etc. drove in a number of major categories, and were successful in those different kinds of cars. They were all part of the Championship Trail. If IndyCar were to go back to a series of races on the various types of racing surfaces, then we'd have something that hit back at that ultimate-racecar-driver affix and got away from the money-first, or business mentality. I believe though it will take a race or two on the dirt tracks to earn the acceptance of the casual viewership - the soft money folks.
