Actually, Simonsens failure in the 1 hr was a broken gearbox out put shaft (LH). The right rear wheel bearing failure was during Ted's 5 lap race, and he did well to hang on to the car with about 10mm of flop at the rim edge.
Poor Ted, that 1hr failure hurt like hell.
I think Allans closing speeds over Lukey was around 80kph..... scary for both drivers....
