From memory we had terrential rain on Friday which must have washed most of the summer rubber away. The weekend was dry but given it was late Sep not sure the track got that hot althought the air temp was high enough.
Not sure if that helps explain it but certainly not many people ran inside 49s. Of course we were missing our champ who had gone all pro on us and stepped into a carbon car!! He may have posted anyting up to 2 secs quicker going on previous differentials.
Has Mr Palmer made any subtle track changes that have 'lengthened' the lap - or at least made corner cutting less advantageous?
