Parker ENZED pulls out of NZ V8s sponsorship but won't give reasons; MotorSport NZ not commenting on poss legal action
The New Zealand V8s championship has received a huge blow with Parker ENZED announcing it has decided to end its sponsorship.
Parker ENZED still has a year to run on its contract as naming rights sponsor and general manager Mike Lightfoot will not be drawn on the reasons behind the decision to pull out. He will only say the company has decided that sponsoring motorsport is not an area it wishes to be involved in anymore.
The early withdrawal raises the question of legal action but the general manager of MotorSport New Zealand's promotional arm, Kerry Cooper, will not reveal what action will be taken. Cooper says he has no idea why Lightfoot ended the relationship which started in 2002.
