Don't know. From the pics above the "HANS" and the "Schroth" versions look different. But that may just be age.
Have a look at
http://www.saferacer.com/hans/?tagarray=10. If I interpret it correctly, the quick release tethers may just be an option. The flip-ups only appear on one of the versions of the device pictured.
No substitute for asking an expert or, better, two.
