Another thought which could help out both Supercar and the Lites. Limit the number of days for testing to one or two per meeting (preferably one) but they can test wherever they like. I've seen this work very well in other formulas/series in respect to controlling costs and improving racing.
The reasons for this are many. To start with it costs a lot to run around in circles in the middle of the week until you get it right. This is where the one with the cubic dollars can get the jump on the rest.
It also improves the racing as it accentuates the unknown. Nothing worse than a team who runs the complete race 5 or 6 times before it happens.
Not much left to chance then, is there?
